new pack-n-play

We just got this super-light Phil & Ted's Pack-n-play and the kids love to play in it cuz the size opens up like a tent. And it's indoor & outdoor and folds up really small! Now they don't have to sleep in icky hotel cribs anymore.

He tried to pull himself up today for the first time! Didn't quite make it so I helped him get up but after that he stood quite well!

Grandpa assembled the new learning tower today! Until now, Hailey has a little white plastic footstool that she carries around the kitchen to see what I'm doing. Now she can stand on this big platform and I won't worry as much about her falling off! Logan seemed to like it too. BTW, that's Hailey waving at the camera.

He's getting closer. He leans forward to crawl but just doesn't move anywhere. Today he managed to balance on his hands and knees though! Not that I'm in any hurry for him to be mobile...

Bronchulitis hits poor Hailey

Darn those germ-infested playlands! She had a runny nose and slight cough yesterday but when she started wheezing today I took her to the pediatrician. He gave her albuterol but it didn't help so he knew it wasn't asthma. She's very lethargic and I've never seen her so tired. She just lays on me and cries. So sad! It's supposed to last 3-5 days and have to take her back to the doc tomorrow.

Snow day!!!

First big snow of the season! It was the perfect snow day. Ben's case was cancelled so he got to be home. We made pumpkin bread, watched movies, and of course, played in the snow!





Hailey was so hyper after having so much fun in the snow!

Cookies

Annie, David and their sons Ryan and Peter came over for dinner. They brought a Halloween pumpkin cookie decorating kit and Hailey and Ryan had a great time decorating (e.g. eating icing). At one point Hailey looked like she had a goatee out of black icing! I thought she did a pretty good job of decorating her cookie considering it was her first time and they were just using pouches of icing! Of course the sugar high afterwards resulted in much yelling and chasing Mei Mei around the house and going to bed at 11pm. Hopefully she'll sleep in!

Hailey's Rock Band

Jen's friend Rick (whom Hailey has a rock-star crush on) came over and we discovered that Hailey loves to play Rock Band! She even rotates to the different instruments. Here she is on the mic singing:

Jump into the pool

Hailey's really getting comfy in the water now. She can kick, blow bubbles, stick her face in, but most of all, she LOVES to jump off the edge of the pool and make a big splash!

Where's the bunny?

After Kindermusik class, Hailey found a bunny outside and was fascinated!

Potty training? Who needs training?

Hailey pottied in the toilet for the first time, and totally out of the blue! No potty training going on yet, but I guess we should start! My parents were over for dinner, and while I was in the kitchen, my mom was using the restroom, and Hailey took my dad’s hand and led him into the other bathroom, had him take off her pants and diaper and put her on the toilet (no training seat!) where she promptly peed and then told him to flush. #1…I can’t believe she peed in the toilet! #2…I can’t believe I missed it!!!
