Welcome to the World, Logan Kaiwen Shen Chang

Logan Kaiwen Shen Chang born at 3:27 PM MST. 6 lbs 7 ounces, 20 inches long. Born after only 12 minutes of pushing and 27 minutes after the epidural was placed. Mom tired, everyone happy and healthy.

Lots has been going on

3/30/2009 3:00 PM: Lots has been happening since my water was broken. Epidural just went in and that went well. Just got my catheter and the nurse checked me and I am fully dilated, fully effaced, and +2 station. The nurse just left to call my doctor back in...

Big change

Big change since the water was broken and the pitocin was working for a few hours... 4 cm, 80%, -2 station....should be on the up slope now.

They just called the anesthesiologist for the epidural.

All wet....

yuck...just feels like I pee'ed on myself....

The rooms at skyridge are pretty big...15 Jen steps from the bed to the bathroom door....

...of course, only 5 steps for ben...but he does not have pitocin running

The hospital that Jen is delivering at is called Skyridge...but euphamistically named Sparidge by people in Denver....what do you think?

3/30/2009 10:25: 2 cm, -2, 60% effaced....

Pitocin just started...unfortunately one tube of blood clotted, so they have to draw it again...GRRR...

IV in

3/30/2009 10:21 AM: IV in....a little bit painful this time.....had to stick twice, but it is in the back of the left hand now

Arrived at Skyridge

3/30/2009, 9:25 AM: arrived at the hospital, jen has changed into her hospital gown and has her external monitors on. Now, just waiting for the IV, pitocin, and most importantly the epidural.
