Hailey's Rock Band

Jen's friend Rick (whom Hailey has a rock-star crush on) came over and we discovered that Hailey loves to play Rock Band! She even rotates to the different instruments. Here she is on the mic singing:

Jump into the pool

Hailey's really getting comfy in the water now. She can kick, blow bubbles, stick her face in, but most of all, she LOVES to jump off the edge of the pool and make a big splash!

Where's the bunny?

After Kindermusik class, Hailey found a bunny outside and was fascinated!

Potty training? Who needs training?

Hailey pottied in the toilet for the first time, and totally out of the blue! No potty training going on yet, but I guess we should start! My parents were over for dinner, and while I was in the kitchen, my mom was using the restroom, and Hailey took my dad’s hand and led him into the other bathroom, had him take off her pants and diaper and put her on the toilet (no training seat!) where she promptly peed and then told him to flush. #1…I can’t believe she peed in the toilet! #2…I can’t believe I missed it!!!

At almost 5 months old, Logan has his first taste of rice cereal.

Luau

Our subdivision had a luau last Sat. Hailey had fun learning how to hula! Here's the professional video taken at the event where Hailey makes a couple of brief appearances towards the end when she was hula-ing on stage:

Hailey has been shaking for head "no" for ages but here's finally a nod "yes"!

Went to picture people and got some pics taken. Hailey is now 17-1/2 months old and Logan is 4-1/2 months...where does the time go?! Poor Logan was so tired from all the posing...but I couldn't resist that last pic...he's still cute when he's sad!

Back in June, we took Hailey to an Asian Heritage Month Celebration at Wells Fargo Bank that my mom chaired. As my mom was presenting a certificate to one of the sponsors, Lan, and Lan just happened to be visiting Hailey at the moment so she brought her on stage with her and voila...their photo made the Chinese American Post that week! In the newspaper at 1 yr old...pretty impressive! =)

Swimming in Beaver Creek

We took the kids to Beaver Creek Lodge for a little anniversary getaway. Hailey loved the heated indoor/outdoor pool!
